Today, Alex is leading the next iteration of the MoneyGram journey to leverage its modern, mobile and API-driven platform with a specific focus on building the digital business model of the future. An awardwinning champion of innovation, Alex has spearheaded industryleading efforts to utilize crypto and blockchain technology to change the way money moves across borders.

Alex is an established thought leader on global payments and is regularly featured on the world’s leading media platforms, including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and the Washington Post. He also has made appearances on live broadcast media, including CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business. With frequent international travel, Alex regularly contributes to regional news media and engages with world leaders, government officials, regulators and leading multinational business executives to advise on relevant global events.

An advocate of social impact, Alex has been instrumental in leading company initiatives focused on empowering others through education and financial inclusion, as well as cultivating a company culture of diversity. Alex also serves on the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business Board-Emeritus and is on the board of Vogel Alcove, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help young children overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness. He is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Innovation Advisory Council and part of the Global One chapter of the Young Presidents Organization.

Alex joined MoneyGram in 2009 and previously served as both CFO and COO before being named CEO in January 2016. Prior to MoneyGram, Alex spent almost nine years at First Data Corporation where he held a variety of positions, including Chief of Staff to the CEO, Head of Investor Relations, Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing & Strategic Initiatives, and Regional Director of the Benelux for Western Union.

Larry Angelilli has served as interim Chief Financial Officer since August 2023 and as Executive Vice Chairman since August 2022. As the company's principal financial officer, he oversees all finance, accounting and treasury-related functions.

Angelilli joined MoneyGram in August 2011 as Senior Vice President, Treasurer, bringing more than 30 years of financial services and treasury experience to the company. In that role, he was responsible for MoneyGram's global banking and treasury operations and leading the company's corporate finance functions. Angelilli was then appointed as Chief Financial Officer in January 2016. 

Prior to MoneyGram, he was Director, Underwriting for Hudson Advisors/Lone Star Funds where he was responsible for the underwriting of private equity acquisitions related to financial asset pools and distressed financial institutions. From 1998 to 2009, Angelilli was Senior Vice President, Finance at Centex Corporation. His professional experience also includes tenures with NationsBank Corporation, Chrysler Financial Corporation and The National Bank of Detroit. 

Angelilli holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Detroit and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wayne State University.

Anna Greenwald was named Chief Operating Officer in August 2022. Previously, she was Chief Readiness Officer, where she was responsible for leading the Company's go-to-market strategy, agent network oversight and engagement and global regulatory exam readiness. She joined MoneyGram in 2011, previously holding positions in the Product, Technology and Operations departments.

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Greenwald worked for Boston Scientific, Qumu and other leading technology companies where she led business model transformation, global expansion initiatives, managed merger activities and oversaw compliance remediation efforts.

Greenwald holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado, a Master of Science from Metropolitan State University, and a Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University.

Grant Lines was named MoneyGram’s Chief Revenue Officer in January 2018 after serving as the company’s chief revenue officer for the AMEAP, Russia and CIS regions for three years.

Lines joined MoneyGram as senior vice president, Asia Pacific, South Asia and Middle East in February 2013. Prior to that, Lines served as general manager of Black Label Solutions, a leading developer and supplier of computerized retail Point of Sale systems from May 2011 to December 2012.

His previous experience also includes several leadership roles at First Data Corporation, a global payment processing company, most recently as managing director of First Data Corporation's ANZ business September 2008 to February 2011. Lines also served as senior vice president of First Data's Strategic Business Development and general manager of ASEAN, establishing Asian operations in Singapore from June 2004 to August 2008, and senior vice president with sales and marketing responsibilities in Australia and New Zealand from October 2000 to May 2004.

Cory Feinberg was appointed as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in March 2023. Feinberg leads litigation, employment, corporate governance, legal support for all commercial partnerships and marketing functions, real estate, data governance, internal audit, and the law enforcement and subpoena teams.

A seasoned financial services attorney, Feinberg has been with MoneyGram since 2015, starting as Global Head of Litigation and Investigations and most recently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary.

Feinberg has worked in-house at leading organizations since 2005. Prior to joining MoneyGram, he was with Bank of America and its affiliated companies, and he began his career in private practice as a litigator. Feinberg holds a J.D. from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law and a B.A. with Honors from the University of Kansas.

Bahar Sahajwalla was appointed as Chief Regulatory and Public Affairs Officer in March 2023. She has been with MoneyGram since 2017 and previously served as Head of External Relations and Government Affairs. Over the years, she has been responsible for several teams within the organization including regulatory strategy, global exam readiness, privacy, social impact and more.

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Sahajwalla worked at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in the International Division, where she advised companies on global public policy and regulatory issues to advance their business opportunities around the world.

Highly regarded in the industry, Sahajwalla was named one of The Hill’s top lobbyists of 2023. Sahajwalla holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, International Politics from Georgetown University.

Greg Hall was named Chief Marketing Officer in October 2022. Hall joined MoneyGram in August 2020 as Chief Customer Officer, where he oversaw global marketing, brand, customer insights and acquisition. 

Hall brings over 20 years of direct-to-consumer growth leadership in financial services. Prior to joining MoneyGram, he was Executive Vice President at private equity-backed Dollar Financial Group and Chief Marketing Officer at venture capital-backed Elevate which he helped take public in 2017. His professional experience also includes tenures with HSBC, Capital One and BCG. 

Hall holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Jillian Slagter joined MoneyGram in December 2023 as Chief People Officer to lead human resources and people operations. Slagter brings 25 years of human resources experience focused on driving leadership and organizational capability, HR transformation, change management, employee engagement, workforce planning and diversity & inclusion.

Prior to joining MoneyGram, she was the Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer at CURO Group Holdings, a publicly traded consumer lending company. Her earlier career experience includes many years of HR leadership at The Nielsen Company. Slagter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois.

Seth Ross was named Chief Digital Officer in April 2023. In this role, he leads the Company’s direct-to-consumer business and global digital strategy.

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Ross was General Manager of Dayforce Wallet and Consumer Services at Ceridian, where he provided the vision and leadership for the company's award-winning consumer app that enables on-demand access to wages. 

Previously, he led the Banking-as-a-Service business at Green Dot Corporation, held multiple executive roles at American Express, and worked as a strategy consultant for nearly a decade. 

Ross holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ontario, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School

Craig Bernier was named MoneyGram’s Chief Compliance Officer in July 2023. He joined the company in November 2013 and served as the Head of Compliance for AML/CFT and Sanctions since August 2019.  

Mr. Bernier leads MoneyGram’s global compliance efforts addressing federal, state, and international laws. 

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Mr. Bernier served in the US Army intelligence, and as a government contractor under a US Defensive Intelligence Agency (DIA) congressional program of record.  Mr. Bernier has held leadership roles in military intelligence and led analytical focus groups tasked to identify, define, assess, and forecast illicit activity. 

Bernier graduated Magna Cum Laude from American Military University (AMU) in West Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intelligence Studies. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center as a certified All Source Intelligence Analyst and is certified by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).

Sia Zahedi was named Chief Data and Analytics Officer in August 2022 after serving as the Company’s Head of Data and Analytics since September 2019. Sia oversees data strategy and insight-led analytics to help accelerate MoneyGram’s digital transformation and customer-centric approach. 

Sia joined MoneyGram in 2015 as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to joining MoneyGram, he served as Vice President of Finance for Xerox’s managed services business.   

Sia holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of North Texas.

Joe Vaughan was appointed Chief Technology Officer in 2021 and leads the adoption of emerging practices and technologies in software engineering, cloud computing, data analytics, machine learning and blockchain. 

Vaughan has over 25 years of experience leading globally distributed technology teams and over 19 years in the financial services industry specifically. His professional experience also includes tenures with Capital One, Wells Fargo, American Airlines and Rushmore Loan Management. 

Vaughan started his career as a software engineer in the airline industry after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of North Texas. He also has earned a Master of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University where he developed his managerial and leadership skills.

Sara Vassar was appointed Chief Product Officer in August 2021. Vassar brings digital products to market that customers love and implements best practices in design thinking, customer driven innovation and Agile development. 

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Vassar was the Vice President of Product Management and Transformation at Thomson Reuters where she oversaw the Audit and Assurance product line as well as programs designed to build the innovation muscle of product teams across the business. Additionally, Vassar led transformation initiatives at Capital One Financial Services and held multiple product and innovation positions within Intuit’s Professional Tax Group. 

Vassar holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Tulsa.

Veronica Larson was appointed Chief Information Officer in June 2021. She joined the Company in May 2010 as Senior Product Solutions Manager and was most recently the Head of IT Operations & Service Management. Larson oversees MoneyGram’s Global IT Operations & Engineering teams. 

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Larson held product and technology leadership positions in HR technology firms that were purchased by First Advantage and SHL. 

Larson holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Business Administration and Management from Hamline University.

Christopher Russell has served as Chief Accounting Officer since joining MoneyGram in November 2020. He is responsible for and oversees the accounting department at the Company.

Prior to joining MoneyGram, Chris spent five years at Kraton Corporation, a global specialty chemicals company, serving as Vice President, Interim Chief Financial Officer, and then Chief Accounting Officer. He also served as Chief Accounting Officer for Prince International Corporation, a producer of engineered additives for niche applications. His professional experience also includes tenures with GE Power and Water and Ernst & Young LLP.  

Chris is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Texas.

Dave Leitner joined MoneyGram in November 2023 as Chief Media and Acquisition Officer. In the role, Leitner leads media investments across brand and performance media to accelerate the rate of growth driven by consumer marketing.

Leitner is an accomplished global media and marketing executive with 25+ years of experience leading both client-side and agency-side marketing in domestic and global roles. Before joining MoneyGram, he was the Executive Vice President and Head of Media at Klick, a full-service life sciences advertising agency. Prior to Klick, Leitner held senior executive media roles at MDC Partners agency Allegory/Assembly and Mediavest (now Spark Foundry) and worked with notable brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, M&M Mars, Heineken, Avon, Atari and Sony Electronics. Leitner holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from State University of New York at Oswego.

Brendan Barrett is a Managing Director with the Financial Services team at MDP. Prior to MDP, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley. Barrett serves on the Boards of Directors of Great Gray Trust Company, Intermedia.net, MoneyGram and Navacord. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of BlueCat Networks and EVO Payments International. In addition, he is on the Board of Directors of Legal Prep Charter Academy.

Chris Bruzzo is the former Chief Experience Officer at Electronic Arts (EA), where he fostered innovative and interactive social experiences in the gaming ecosystem. Prior to that role, Bruzzo was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at EA, where he led the Marketing and Commercial functions simultaneously, a unique opportunity that revealed synergies and intersections, which enabled his team to reimagine the role of marketing.

Bruzzo is a proven brand visionary and thought leader, having held leadership positions at Starbucks and Amazon. During his tenure at Starbucks, he was the architect of the Starbucks digital experience, building award-winning loyalty and personalization programs that created deep connections with customers. At Amazon, Bruzzo oversaw marketing and public relations teams and led a team of software developers responsible for Amazon Wish Lists and gift registry services. 

As the son of an Argentine immigrant and educator from Minnesota, Bruzzo is a champion for diversity and inclusion. During his tenure at EA, he was the executive sponsor of SomosEA, the Latino employee resource group, supporting a culture where Hispanic/Latino employees thrive and create access to opportunities in gaming for the Hispanic community.  

Bruzzo holds a degree in political studies from Whitworth University. He currently serves as an advisor for Wize and Mission Scholars. He also is a member of the Board of Directors of retailer Boot Barn. 

Denelle Dixon is the CEO and Executive Director of the SDF, a non-profit organization using blockchain to unlock the world’s economic potential by making money more fluid, markets more open and people more empowered. She leads the teams that help maintain Stellar's codebase, support the communities around Stellar and advocate on behalf of the network with international stakeholders — work that makes Stellar's mission of promoting financial inclusion possible.

Before joining Stellar, Dixon served as COO of Mozilla, one of the most successful mission-driven, open-source organizations. During her tenure at Mozilla, she led the organization’s business, revenue and policy teams including the ongoing fight for net neutrality and the global effort to ensure that people can control their personal data. She also pushed Mozilla to understand how to partner with commercial entities while staying true to its core mission of openness, innovation and opportunity on the web. A lawyer by trade, Dixon previously served as a general counsel and legal advisor in private equity and technology.  

Throughout her career, Dixon has been a vocal advocate for net neutrality, encryption, the disclosure of vulnerabilities by governments, and greater user choice and control. 

Born and raised in Gilroy, California, Dixon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California, Davis and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She currently sits on boards for Airtm, a blockchain and bank-connected digital wallet and peer-to-peer exchange platform, Tala, a financial services platform serving the world’s underbanked, and Trust and Safety Professional Association, a nonprofit that supports professionals who develop and enforce principles and policies that define acceptable behavior and content online.

Vahe Dombalagian is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the MDP Financial Services team. Prior to joining MDP, he was with Texas Pacific Group and Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. Dombalagian currently serves on the Boards of Directors of The Amynta Group, Ankura Consulting Group, The Ardonagh Group, Benefytt Technologies, Great Gray Trust Company, MoneyGram, Navacord, NFP Corp., and Towergate & Nevada Investments Topco Limited. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of Cinemark, EVO Payments International, and L.A. Fitness International.

James (Jim) G. Kelly is the former Chief Executive Officer at EVO Payments, as well as a former member of the company’s Board of Directors before it was acquired by Global Payments in March 2023. Before joining EVO, Kelly held several leadership roles at Global Payments from 2001 to 2010, including serving as President and Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Kelly served as a managing director of Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm, and as a manager of Ernst & Young’s mergers and acquisitions and audit groups. Kelly is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Francisco Lorca is a global technology entrepreneur, public and private board director, Fortune 500 executive and investor with deep experience in payments, fintech, cybersecurity, strategy and digital transformation. Lorca has been on the Board of MoneyGram since 2021, providing oversight and counsel to the leadership team to help navigate the organizational and cultural transformation to become a digital-focused company. He has also served as a board director on privately held First Data Ibérica, OmniPay, BNP AXEPTA, and Encorus AG, as well as in several fast-growth start-ups. 

Lorca is the founder and CEO of EthosData, a London-based SaaS provider of data room services for M&A transactions serving global investment banks, law firms and companies in India, Europe and the Americas. Previously, Lorca was Chief Strategy Officer for First Data International working with the CEO and other executive officers to grow the business from $600MM to $1.1B in revenue before the acquisition of the company in 2007.  

Prior to his tenure at First Data, Lorca led the build-up of Teknoland (an internet consultancy) and its sale to Terra. Earlier in his career, Lorca served as a consultant at McKinsey and Company in Spain, Portugal, Belgium and the U.K. He also worked in GE Capital’s M&A team where he was responsible for sourcing and executing acquisitions throughout Europe. Lorca is also a co-founder of Aristeia Press, an independent publisher of fiction and non-fiction literature, and a member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association. 

Bobby Mehta is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of TransUnion, a global provider of credit information and risk management solutions, from 2007 to 2012. From 1998 to 2007, Mehta held a variety of positions with HSBC Finance Corporation and HSBC North America Holdings, including Chief Executive Officer of HSBC North America Holdings and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Finance Corporation. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President at the Boston Consulting Group and led their North American Financial Services Practice. Mehta has been on the Board of TransUnion Corporation since 2013. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Allstate Corporation, Northern Trust, JLL (non-exec Chair), Amount and Entrust. He also serves on several not-for-profit Boards, including The Field Museum and The Chicago Public Education Fund.

Alex Vielmetti joined MDP in 2019 as an Associate and re-joined after business school in 2023 as a Vice President. Prior to MDP, he was an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan. In addition to serving on the Board of MoneyGram, he is actively involved in MDP’s investments in The Amynta Group, The Ardonagh Group, Navacord, and NFP Corp.

Matt Raino is a Managing Director and Co-Head on the MDP Financial Services team. Prior to joining MDP, Raino was with Credit Suisse First Boston and with MDP as an Associate for two years. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of The Amynta Group, Ankura Consulting Group, The Ardonagh Group, Benefytt Technologies, MoneyGram, Navacord and NFP Corp. Raino formerly served on the Board of Directors of EVO Payments International.
