Raised in an immigrant household, Anthony understands firsthand the vital role cross-border payments play for millions of people around the world. His leadership is driven by a relentless focus on customer experience, innovation, product and operational excellence, all with the goal of making the movement of money across borders seamless, affordable and secure for everyone.
Anthony has over 25 years of experience in technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, with a unique blend of Fortune 100 leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. He holds six patents, including three in artificial intelligence. Before joining MoneyGram, he was Executive Vice President at Walmart, where he led the multi-billion-dollar home division and played a key role in driving one of the largest digital transformations in retail history. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at CBS, Yahoo!, and Apple, and successfully founded two companies: Dotspotter (acquired by CBS) and Dot & Bo (now part of Alibaba).
He is a recognized thought leader in business, entrepreneurship and the future of money, with on-air appearances on Bloomberg, CNN, the NYSE and other major outlets. His insights have also been featured in top-tier publications and leading industry trades. Anthony has earned numerous accolades, including The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 50 People in Digital Media,” the Chicago Tribune’s “19 Trailblazing Asian American Businesspeople,” and Dallas Innovates’ “Top AI Innovators in Dallas–Fort Worth.”
In addition to his role at MoneyGram, Anthony is the Lead Independent Director at Spryker Systems, an enterprise PaaS company serving global brands including Toyota, Daimler and Siemens. He also serves on the board of Civio.ai as AI Fund’s board designee. Originally from California, Anthony earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
