What is MGI Services

MGI Services is a small application installed on agent computers that AgentWorks uses for device fingerprinting and integration with hardware peripherals. It allows for functionality such as automatically printing receipts and loading scanned images directly into the browser.

Device fingerprinting: MGI Services scans the hardware for unique identifiers. These unique identifiers are then combined and encrypted into a fingerprint. When a user logs into AgentWorks, their credentials along with this encrypted fingerprint are used to determine the Agent Location and POS the user is using. If correct, AgentWorks will load.

Hardware Integration: MGI Services provides the integration point between AgentWorks and agent hardware required to perform a transaction, such as the printer or scanner. Agents are required to install the drivers for their hardware
