Gary Ferrera was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in June 2024. In this role, he leads all aspects of finance and accounting, tax and treasury. Ferrera is a seasoned executive with extensive domestic and international financial expertise, including nearly two decades as a CFO primarily with publicly traded companies. He has brought two companies public and built out the public company infrastructure for a third company.

Prior to MoneyGram, Ferrera served as CFO of Driven Brands, the largest automotive services company in North America. Ferrera also served as CFO at Skillsoft, Cardtronics, DigitalGlobe, Intrawest Resort Holdings, Great Wolf Resorts, National CineMedia and Unity Media.

Ferrera holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley University and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Prior to college, Ferrera served over seven years on active duty in US Army Special Forces and Intelligence.
